3 steps for tailor-made team development workshops
Preparation of the team development workshop: During the initial contracting you tell me your concerns, your challenges and your desires. From that we peel the objectives for the creativity workshop and bring them into focus. Many of the questions that I put to you, are in order to achieve a comprehensive picture of your circumstances and needs. Ideally there is a preparatory meeting with your entire team. Should this not be possible, then all participants will receive a short questionnaire prior to the workshop. On this basis I will design for you a tailor-made programme with adequate solution-oriented issues and creative methods.
Execution of the team development workshop: Leave the process control and the stimulation of the group dynamics during the large group event to me. That way you will be free, to contribute fully.
Post-processing: Approximately 1 week after the workshop all participants will receive a flip chart protocol accompanied with illustrative pictures. 4 to 6 weeks later, the workshop will be followed up by a debriefing – ideally with the entire team – to jointly review the progress.

I had heard good things about Birgit’s team working and moderation exercises but I couldn’t imagine that only two intense days would lift my unit and myself to such levels. A two-day team development workshop was crucial in helping to this end. The correct distance between work desk, telephone and topical and urgent debate was a good prerequisite to look more closely and to recognise relationships beneath the surface.
The good preparation of our facilitator and her flexible responses to our needs helped us to better understand, where our personal potential and limits are and how communication and work processes can be improved. Concrete measures for improvement were drawn up and all totalled for a clearer picture of our goals and our target way of functioning.

Our Swedish NCP-team attended Birgit’s TTT1 and were so enthusiastic we decided to proceed with TTT2 within the same calendar year, and the next year with a moderation training.
